Blockchain Developer job emerges as top jobs in 2017-2018 – LinkedIn

According to LinkedIn research, ‘Blockchain Developer’ job emerged as fasted growing job in 2018 with a growth rate of 33x. The ‘Blockchain Developer’ job experienced whopping growth rate of more than 33 times during 2017 and it tops the demanding job list on LinkedIn.

This research was conducted by tech social network LinkedIn which revealed the job trends in recent years. Blockchain is most demanded skills in the industry among all the job titles. It shows a huge growth in IT field and companies are looking for skilled professionals with hands on experience in Blockchain related technologies.

According to the research most of the jobs related to Blockchain technologies are located in United States: San Francisco, New York and Atlanta. Most of the companies are looking for Solidity (the programming language for Ethereum Blockchain), Cryptocurrency, Node.js and related technologies.

According to the research Machine Learning professionals are in the second list in the job list followed by Sales, Medical Representatives and Data Scientists. From the research it’s clear that the most demanding jobs are in the field of top emerging IT technology fields.

According to the chief economist at LinkedIn, Guy Berger, the data science roles is also expanding fast as more specialized roles are in demand in the Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning field

List of top emerging jobs in 2018:

  • Blockchain Developer – 33 times growth rate
  • Machine Learning Engineers – 13 times growth rate
  • Application Sales Executive – 8 times growth rate
  • Machine Learning Specialist – 6 times growth rate
  • Professional Medical Representative – 6 times growth rate

In 2019 and beyond there will be huge demand of Blockchain Developers having right skills and hands on experience in all the Blockchain technologies.

According to the last years upwork report, Bitcoin and blockchain technologies were the most demanding skills in the free-lance job work field.
