The global head of Qualcomm Ventures Quinn Li and CEO of Qualcomm Steven Mollenkopf announced the investment in the Israeli’s AI startup Anyvision for development of AI based algorithms. According to the release the first invested was made for the development of computer vision and facial recognition technologies. The computer vision and facial recognition technologies are most researched technologies these days for developing solutions wide range of AI solutions.

Anyvision is Israeli’s AI startup working on the development of solutions based on the AI technologies. Company is developing on-demand AI solution for identification of people with face, body and bone characteristics. This product is similar to the product which is found on the iPhone X.

The main benefits of on-device AI are that it minimizes the spread of personal data and it mitigates the privacy concerns of the actual users. With this solution company is hoping to develop better solutions in coming days and expand its market into AI domains.

According to the announcement US Chip manufacturer Qualcomm Ventures will invest heavily on the AI projects including autonomous cars, robotics and other machine learning platforms. With these investments company is focusing on making endless on-device AI solutions.

Qualcomm Incorporated is world leader in development of next-generation wireless technologies products and solutions which is being used on various devices around the world. This new investment is focusing on the research and development of AI based products.

AI solutions can also be extended for connected computers and communications.

The US Chip Manufacturer Qualcomm Ventures funded AnyVision in its Series A funding for object recognitions work. The Israeli startup Anyvision is focusing on the development of face, body and object recognition AI solution that can run on-device to minimize data sent out of the device. These days in the age of Big Data there is big data privacy issue. This solution is aimed to mitigate privacy concerns of the device user. AnyVision is working on the development of propriety algorithm and AI implementation that will provide significant value to end users.

This investment of Qualcomm into AnyVision is expected to help AnyVision in widening their effort and expend their AI solutions for other industries.

The on-device Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the next thing in Artificial Intelligence field which focuses on development of various solutions which can run on device itself without sending data to another server for analysis. The on-device Artificial Intelligence (AI) is fast and no risk of privacy as data is processed on the same device. In coming days we will see many devices in the market with many on-device Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions for customers.
