Vodafone and IBM signs a five-year deal for cloud, analytics and AI

Indian’s largest telecom operator Vodafone sings a five-year agreement with IBM for cloud, analytics and AI solutions. The multi-million dollar deal will help Vodafone to create a more secure and agile IT solution for their operations. This an fast-track initiative by company to implement IoT based secure solutions.

This deal will help Vodafone in modernizing capability to deliver latest solution to their customers. IBM will help Vodafone in implementing cloud, analytics and AI solutions.

According to the company the solution will be implemented at fast-track to enhance AI and IoT capabilities.

This implementation will help Vodafone to respond to its customers’ growing data usage and develop AI and IOT initiatives. These days most of the telecom companies are modernizing their capability to meet today’s demand of customers. The Big Data, IoT, Analytics and Machine learning helps telecom operators to cater various sections of customers.

Currently Vodafone is serving over 387 million customers in India, with this deal company will update its infrastructure and to get full benefits of Vodafone India’s 2018 merger with Idea Cellular. With this deal company will increase the efficiencies in all business areas.

This is the second major cloud agreement that company has signed with IBM this year. Earlier in January Company announced $550 million cloud agreement.

With its technical capabilities IBM won the telcos modernizing business and help them in using 5G data effectively.  Various IoT, AI and Analytics solutions offered by IBM over cloud is ideal for the success of today’s business.

IBM won the telcos modernizing business for eight of the 10 largest mobile operators, including AT&T and Verizon, are using IBM Services.

These days machine learning, deep learning and analytics plays very big role for telecos for running their business.  With the help of modern Big Data, Machine Learning and Analytics solutions telcos can better serve their customers.

With the introduction of 5G, which is going to be reality in comes months will put a pressure on the telcos to meet the customer demands. So, there are huge opportunities for big companies in the Big Data and IoT age.
