US Chip maker Qualcomm announces to invest $100m fund in Israeli startup Anyvision for the Artificial Intelligence projects. The global head of Qualcomm Ventures Quinn Li and CEO of Qualcomm Steven Mollenkopf announced the investment in the Israeli’s AI startup Anyvision for development of AI based algorithms. According to the release the first invested was made for the development of computer vision and facial recognition technologies. The computer vision and facial recognition technologies are most researched technologies these days for developing solutions wide range of AI solutions.
Anyvision is Israeli’s AI startup working on the development of solutions based on the AI technologies. Company is developing on-demand AI solution for identification of people with face, body and bone characteristics. This product is similar to the product which is found on the iPhone X.
The main benefits of on-device AI are that it minimizes the spread of personal data and it mitigates the privacy concerns of the actual users. With this solution company is hoping to develop better solutions in coming days and expand its market into AI domains.
